Policy

Everything on this page flows from one idea: you are free, and government exists to protect that freedom, not manage your life.

I believe in individual liberty, personal responsibility, and government that stays out of your life and your wallet.

Below is where I stand on the issues, in plain language, one page each. No hedge words, no talking points written by a consultant. If you want to know how I will vote, start here.

Individual Liberty → You own yourself. Speech, faith, privacy, self-defense, and the right to be left alone, including why I will vote to defund Flock/ALPR mass surveillance. Family Rights → Parents, not government bureaucrats, know what is best for their own children. Includes the public records requests I have filed on DCS, and my plan to argue in Indianapolis for LaGrange County’s independence on child services. Free Markets → People left free to trade, build, and keep what they earn. Lower property taxes, no corporate handouts, and a lighter burden on family farms and small business. Limited Government → Government has become the problem. Right-size it, live within our means, follow the outside money, and shift toward voluntary funding. Fiscal Responsibility → Every dollar the county spends was taken from somebody who earned it. Line by line scrutiny, no lifestyle creep, and a responsible steward of your tax dollars. Localist Policy → Decisions should be made as close to home as possible. Cut the carrot off the stick and keep LaGrange County’s decisions in LaGrange County. Community Cohesion → Strong communities are built by neighbors, not programs. Fair dealing, trust instead of tracking, and my plan to rotate Council meetings through our high schools with seniors attending. Criminal Justice → A crime needs a victim. Enforcement focused on protecting people and property, not revenue, with real accountability for officials too. County Roads → I drive these roads for a living, and I’m concerned we’re wasting your hard earned dollars paving with the wrong pavement for our region. We need to be looking into concrete, with road money going where the road is worst, on a published plan.

Go deeper: my full Statement of Principles lays out the platform these pages stand on, and the Flock Records page holds the contracts and vouchers behind the surveillance fight, posted in public for anyone to check.

No coercion. No extortion.
